Wordsmith Ved Prakash Malik’s book of ghazals Gule-Sarshar published

Gifted ghazal writer Ved Prakash Malik passed away in January 2004. On his death anniversary, his daughter Kusha Malik has published Gule-Sarshar, a book of his ghazals.

A natural and talented writer, Ved Prakash Malik used to write in the simplest form. The flow of thoughts in his ghazals depict love, liveliness and hope, among many more aspects of life.

In one of the couplets, he writes, “Kuch milen ya na milen, milte milate rahiye… Shauk achcha hai, isse khoob badhaate rahiye… Dost gar kaam na aaye toh bas ye kariye… Unko iss baat ka ehsaas karaate rahiye.”

The unique aspect of this book is that the collection of ghazals can be understood by everyone from all age groups. Anybody can connect and identify with Ved Prakash Malik’s touching words. The ghazals in Gule-Sarshar comprise a mixture of emotions including happiness, grief and simple truths about life.
