Amitabh Bachchan donates a whopping Rs 2 crore towards Covid-19 relief
Our Bollywood Town Celebrity has pledged to help the countrymen during the time of pandemic.
Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan rallied to help the needy. Our Star came to the rescue of those worst hit by the pandemic, by donating a whopping amount of Rs 2 crore to Covid-19 care facility at Rakab Ganj Gurdwara in Delhi and is also facilitating oxygen concentrators.
The service of Rakab Ganj Gurdwara will be opened on Monday. It will have 300 beds, oxygen, doctors, ambulances, paramedics and all the services will be provided to patients free of cost.
The President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management committee Manjinder Singh thanked Big B. He tweeted, “Sikhs are Legendary, Salute To Their Service.” Manjinder Singh said that the actor made sure that oxygen concentrators from abroad reached COVID care centre.
He said, “While Delhi was grappling for Oxygen, Amitabh Ji called me almost daily to enquire about the progress of this facility. He is not just a REEL Hero but a Real-life Hero too”

Recently, Our Mega star has wrote a blog criticizing the celebrities for not contributing during the time of deadly pandemic. In the blog, he gave the details on his contribution made by him during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Only the receiver knew and that was the end,” wrote the actor.
On Sunday, Amitabh Bachchan shared a glimpse from the Vax Live event on Twitter where he could be seen requesting the world to help India in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
In the video, Amitabh said, “Namaskar, this is Amitabh Bachchan. My country India is battling with the sudden surge of the second wave of Covid 19. As a global citizen I appeal to all global citizens to rise up, speak to your governments, pharmaceutical companies and ask them to donate, to give, to extend a helping hand, to the public that needs it the most. Every effort counts. As Mahatma Gandhiji said: ‘In a gentle way you can shake the world’. thank you.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, he will be next seen in Tera Yaar Hoon Mein, Chehre, with Emraan Hashmi and in Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. He will also be seen in the sports drama, Mayday and Jhund. He will also return to the small screen as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13.
